#100BlogPosts - Post #1: Introduction, Recent Photo, 15 Interesting Facts

Why hello there, so nice of you to stop by my little blog. I need to post more. There are just not enough hours in the day! Anyway. I love to write and this blog is my therapy as well as my accountability so I'm challenging myself to post 100 times during the remaining 96 days of 2014. I think I can do it. My encouragement will be selecting random topics from various blog challenges whenever I can't come up with something to post on my own.

So here we go with post numero uno.

Introduction:

My name is Latina and I'm 34 years old. I live in Little Rock, Arkansas with my two sons and manage a library. In my spare time I like to craft, cook, read and write. I would tell you more but since I have to list 15 interesting facts I'll just tell you to read more to learn more!

Here I am. Still trying to lose weight! It's a never ending battle. I really don't want surgery but I may be headed that way in 2015.

15 Interesting Facts:

  1. I have loved many people but I don't think I've ever been IN love. Despite that fact, Valentine's Day is probably my favorite holiday.
  2.  I was once a licensed cosmetologist. I took the entire course, passed the tests and actually worked in a shop from time to time. I let my license go but I would like to go back to school one day. I style my own hair and will do other people's if I like them enough.
  3. I have a REALLY short attention span. I usually have to divide movie viewing into 3 increments.
  4. I never really know when people are flirting with me and I feel like that makes them think I'm awkward.
  5. I'm very shy but most people consider me outgoing. #weird
  6. I have a very high tolerance for pain. As a child my ankle was fractured in at least 2 places and I hardly cried. I also like to arm wrestle people that I know are stronger than I am because it gives me the giggles.
  7. I hate the size of my boobs and wish I could afford a breast reduction. I usually dress in layers to help minimize the size.
  8. I'm extremely self conscious about my adult acne.
  9. I'm happiest when I'm crafting. I like creating beautiful things.
  10. Despite working in a library 40+ hours a week, I usually only get to read about 20 books a year.
  11. I don't talk like it when people talk to me while I'm doing other things. I usually have 1000 thoughts in my mind at any given time and it just bugs the hell out of me when people keep talking to me even though I'm not really responding.
  12. I've been working for the same organization for 19 years. I hope to retire in my 50's.
  13. Sometimes I feel odd around my immediate family.
  14. I often break expensive technology devices but I LOVE expensive technology devices.
  15. I am an extremely girly girl half of the time I think the things my 2 sons are interested in are completely nuts but I go along with it anyway.

Hey y'all!    I was finally able to get my grubby little paws on more Michaels Craft Store Grab Boxes. It was completely by accident, I simply wanted to buy a t-shirt to complete an order and I saw 4 boxes so I purchased 4 boxes. Here's what was inside: Most of this will get used. I was most excited about the floral department stuff and the lights. The total for my boxes is over $400. Anything I can't use, I'll be donating to my job!

BOOK REVIEW: "I Almost Forgot About You" by Terry McMillan

While I'm not a Terry McMillan fanatic, I do usually enjoy her books. This title was hard to read and confusing from the very beginning. I understand that Georgia is on a mission to find herself but the books is long and gets boring often. Plus there are way too many characters to keep up with. I will still pick up a Terry McMillan book in the future but I do not recommend this book.

No Losers Please

Just recently, I dated a loser, I can tell you more about that in a later blog post I have planned. But anyway - one day I was chilling with said loser and he needed me to help him set up his 'new' touch screen phone. While I was trying to log into his Facebook page he received a text from another girl that read "Hey sweaty - what's up" It's funny because I wasn't mad and because I am pretty sure that this wasn't a case of auto-correct madness. This heifer really spelled SWEETIE wrong and I saw the previous texts to prove this. Unless there was some sort of inside joke that made it okay for her to affectionately call him sweaty, the fact that he was either a. oblivious to the fact that she wasn't spelling her chosen term of endearment correctly or b. He wasn't offended about being called sweaty. Either way - I realized he was an idiot. Have you ever been involved in a situation or with a person and had an awakening that made you realize...
