What I Learned While Out of the Office

10 Things I learned when I spent 10 consecutive days in a row away from work. 1. My job is stressing me out. I LOVE my job. I never want that to be misconstrued but it is indeed stressing me out. I think I need to figure out how to diffuse some of the problems I encounter before they happen. I don't even know if that's possible but there are so many non-job related issues that I just can't deal. 2. I like to sleep. Daytime naps are completely underrated and should be mandatory at work. Ideally I would like to have a job that I could do at home during the wee hours of the night and sleep to the day. 3. Wine in the daytime is AWESOME! 4. I want to be able to enjoy spontaneous day trips with my kiddos. I wanted to do so many things with them during those days off but I was so unbelievably tired that All I did was sleep. I felt horrible but this brings me to .... 5. Kids don't care what you do with them they just want to spend time with you. We had the most ama...

#100BlogPosts - Post # 7: MCM Jesse Williams

If you recall from my post back in 2012 Jesse Williams was way at the bottom of my celebrity boo list . He was number 11 of 12. The only person lower than him was Rick Ross (Da Bawse). Oh what a difference time makes. Jesse has moved all the way up the list to #2 (no one beats T.I. though he lost some points in these last two years but more on that later). See in the last two years I've learned a few things about Mr. Williams. First I found out he has a regular pretty (and a bit plush at times) wife Mrs. Aryn Drake-Lee.  Then I found out how very intelligent he is and his passion for the Mike Brown situation in Ferguson just did it for me. He was even out in the streets of Ferguson talking to people and hugging folks! #swoon.  He's fearless. He is a black man first and an actor second and I LOVE IT! T.I.better watch out. Jesse is coming for his spot. Oh...and he used to be a teacher. In another life we were married...I just know it.

Change

So the other night I was scrolling down my Instagram feed when I saw a picture of Beyonce and what some are calling her 'new style'. I personally think she looks cute and way less toned down. If you know me then you know that for years I have felt that Beyonce is Take It or Leave It. I like some of her music ( Countdown ) and on some of it I think she yells too damn much ( Ring the Alarm ). At times she seems sweet and very down to earth while at others I find  her to be almost Stepford Wife like . Either way - I'm not a stan but I'm def not a Beyonce hater. However, my feelings towards her have nothing to do with this post so ... yeah.      Anyway, a fellow follower commented something along the lines of "Stop trying to change your image, we love you just the way you are" (I scrolled and scrolled but could not relocated the direct quote. Had I known it would be a blog post topic, I would've screen shot it right then. WELP.) ...
